30/04/18: Kirstin Petersen receives the Early Career Faculty Champion Award from the Cornell Office of Inclusion and Student Engagement for her work to improve undergraduate and graduate experience at Cornell.
28/04/18: Big congrats to Logan Horowitz for getting the Engineering Learning Initiatives Award by the LSAMP and Semiconductor Research Corporation with Support from Intel Foundation. Logan will be working on new tech for studying collective behavior in honey bees this Summer!
20/04/18: Steven and Nialah runs an embodied-intelligence soft robotics outreach workshop for TST BOCES New Visions Engineering program!
24/04/18: Huge congratulations to Haron Abdel-Raziq and Ryan O’Hern for passing both their ECE Qualifying Exams in the first try! Not only did they pass; Haron got an “Excellent” in Computer Architecture and Ryan got an “Excellent” in Computer Systems.
16/04/18: Huge congratulations to Vaidehi Patel who defended her Master of Science Thesis in Computer Science and Cognitive Sciences today. She is the first student to defend a thesis in the CEI-lab!
Vaidehi has been working with Ryan to build OpenMind, a framework to permit non-expert users to support a robot swarm when rare, but inevitable errors happen.
13/04/17-18: NERCCS – the first Northeast Regional Conference on Complex Systems – is just around the corner. We’ll present updates on research projects in our lab Friday 10.15-10.40am!
